Pro Bono Project: Attorneys: Policies

Clark County Legal Services and the Clark County Pro Bono Project assist low income individuals with civil legal assistance. Once a case is placed with a pro bono attorney, the case is the responsibility of the pro bono attorney just as if the client walked into the office and hired the attorney. As an attorney on the Pro Bono Panel, the lawyers are required to waive all attorneyâs fees incurred during the representation of the case. Pro Bono Attorneys are not asked to pay out of pocket expenses such as filing fees, service of process fees, etc. The client has been told that if there are any fees connected to their case, they will be required to pay them. In many instances, the court will waive filing fees. If the court does waive the filing fee, Nevada Legal News will waive publication costs if the court has waived fees and the civil Sheriff will waive service of process fees.
